  1. bring a large pot of salty water to a boil.
  2. mince garlic.
  3. add pasta and cook to slightly below al dente (pasta will keep cooking in the sauce).
  4. add a few tbsp’s of olive oil to a pan over medium-high heat.
  5. simmer garlic until slightly browned.
  6. add heavy cream to the pan.
  7. add pasta and a few spoons of pasta water to the pan.
  8. toss pasta and sauce. add parsley, salt, and black pepper to taste.
  9. turn off heat, and grate a generous amount of parmesean cheese over the pasta. mix well and serve immediately.


  1. Any wide noodle (linguine, pappardelle, tagliatelle, fettuccine) works well.
  2. Substitute for half and half to reduce fat (but also tastiness).
  3. Please do not use pre-grated cheese ! or i will cry !
